Sad news fellow Savage riders. My '97 Savage died this week after giving me 76,000 miles. I don't know if it was the synthetic oil or luck, but I can't complain. I asked a lot from that little bike and she gave all she could. Gonna have to get a bigger bike this time. I plan on rebuilding the engine and retiring her as a weekend scoot. At least the rest of you know that a Savage is capable of running 76,000. Good luck to all and ride safe or if your stuck for the winter, go clean the bike.
